Karri can grow up to 90 meters tall making it one of the tallest trees in the world. Because this tree does grow so straight and tall, it makes it ideal for flooring. It is mainly found in the lower south west of WA. Juvenile Karri can also be known as Western Mahogany

The colour of Karri varies from reddish browns to pinks. The juvenile Karri is a lot more consitent in colour.

Did you know Karri is often mistaken for Jarrah and sometimes can only be recognised by burning a piece of its bark. Jarrah bark burns black while Karri bark burns white.
